Special mode when holding iPhone against ear?

Long time wearer, first time poster. I’ve recently replaced my 10 year old hearing aids with Phonak Audeo B70-R. I’m still learning about them, but I’ve avoided using the iCom 2 for phone calls due to the bulk and need to wear the loop around my neck.

However… I’ve been playing with my iPhone’s hearing aid setting, turning on Hearing Aid Mode to see any differences happen. Today, to my surprise, half way through a phone call suddenly the caller became very clear - and I think through both hearing aids! I’ve googled nonstop but can’t find what I activated… or how to repeat.

Can anyone offer any insights to what I’ve stumbled across? I wasn’t using any Bluetooth or anything else - just a normal phone call!

is that causes Branchio-Oto-Renal Syndrome?

Any help appreciated.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
