Re: What are your 3 most significant BOR Syndrome Symptoms?

Hello everyone! Our, now 16 month old, daughter has only one kidney. She is severely (mixed loss) deaf in the left ear and wears a little purple hearing aid :) she has had her first surgery to remove a branchial cleft cyst and ear pit on one side. We are waiting for a surgery date for the left. We knew at 20 weeks pregnant her left kidney wasn't a kidney but a mass full of cysts. They seem to have disappeared for the time being.

Re: What are your 3 most significant BOR Syndrome Symptoms?

Hi Fiona,

I was born completely deaf from my left ear. My right ear-the one I can hear from is smaller and a different shape than my left. I also have an abnormal left kidney.... I found out about BOR syndrome when I was pregnate with my son and spoke to a genetics counsler. Luckily my son does not have BOR. I will going back for additional testing.

Regards,

Cristina
